A few years ago I decided to make an EP every year and give it out to people as a christmas present. This is 2009's.

2009, musically, was the year I basically discovered electronic music. After having grown to like Röyksopp and Daft Punk in the winter of 2008, I started getting into other dance acts like Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Mr. Scruff and The Young Punx. Having come from a progressive rock/metal background, I was fascinated by the quality of such electronic music to disregard conventional song structure and still sound coherent, especially some Daft Punk tracks that only have one or two chords. This EP is made from various tracks that I produced this year that all seem to fit the theme of discovery of classic electronic music seen through the eyes of a prog guitarist.
